Do We Really Need Fats?

Fat, along with Protein and Carbohydrates, is one of the main nutrients the body needs to function and thrive.  Think brain, cell membranes, myelin sheath, vitamin absorption, and hormone balance.  Fats provide energy, boost the immune system, and build sex drive.  Quality is key when it comes to fats – healthy fat is life promoting, bad fats are life degenerating and aging.

Include organic cold pressed coconut oil, essential fatty acids with an emphasis on omega 3’s (found in our spirulina).

Bad fats include deep fried foods, trans-fats, processed foods with hydrogenated oils, and excessive saturated animal fats.
